Doctoral Lab

Doctoral Lab

The Wallace Center's Doctoral Lab is a community of doctoral students (DrPH, PhD) whose dissertation research aligns with Wallace Center research priorities of MCAH health equity and innovation. Participants regularly present works in progress to the group for review and writing support. Appropriate works in progress include dissertation manuscript drafts, manuscripts in progress for peer review publication, and conference abstract and presentations for submission.

With the Wallace Center’s support, Doctoral Lab alumni have been awarded prestigious UC-wide doctoral fellowships, published in high-ranked peer reviewed journals, and have graduated into competitive faculty and post-doctoral positions. The group is open by invitation to DrPH and PhD students in SPH working on MCAH and innovation for dissertation research.

Meet our current doctoral researchers here. Read their recent work and publications here to learn more about their contributions to maternal, child, and adolescent health research.
