The Wallace Center for Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health is sponsoring summer internships for UC Berkeley Masters in Public Health students. Applications are open now!


In partnership with Expecting Justice, we are excited to announce applications are open for an Expecting Justice/Abundant Birth Project Summer Internship position!

Expecting Justice is a cross-sector initiative consisting of city agencies, community-based organizations, health care providers, and community members that has developed a common agenda and vision to ensure healthy births for all Black and PI women in San Francisco. They are looking for an MPH Intern to support the research aspects of the Abundant Birth Project and the development of an online anti-racism training tool. The intern will have the opportunity to build their research, data analysis, and writing skills, as well as network and develop lasting connections with leadership across the San Francisco Department of Public Health and Expecting Justice’s institutional partners.

In partnership with Gobee Group, we are excited to announce applications are open for a paid Human-Centered Design Summer Internship position!

The Gobee Group is a social innovation design consultancy headquartered in Oakland, California, that uses human-centered design approaches to solve complex social problems domestically and internationally. Gobee is looking for an MPH intern to support a public health project with human-centered design approaches. The specific project will be scoped at the beginning of summer based on our needs at that time. Gobee’s current portfolio includes projects related to: domestic violence prevention, strengthening national immunization systems, and improving preterm birth outcomes.

In partnership with Hesperian Health Guides, we are excited to announce applications are open for a Reproductive Health App Summer Internship position!

Hesperian Health Guides is a small non-profit organization that develops easy to understand, practical, and actionable health information in multiple languages. Their mission is to provide information and educational tools that help all people take greater control over their health and work to eliminate the underlying causes of poor health. They are looking for an MPH research and outreach intern to help collect information about the use of Hesperian’s reproductive health apps: Safe Abortion, Safe Pregnancy & Birth, and Family Planning. In close coordination with Hesperian staff, the intern will plan and conduct research about potential users of their reproductive health apps in priority geographic region(s) and support engagement with local organizations.
